Despite being a specialist in obstetrics and gynaecology, I primarily devote my professional work to gynaecology, in particular gynaecological oncology.
Prevention, diagnostics, as well as conservative and surgical treatment of diseases of the female reproductive system are the areas I deal with on a daily basis. In my work, I attach great importance to treating my patients with respect, empathy, and the attention they deserve. By drawing on my acquired knowledge and many years of experience, I strive to be a source of hope for women in maintaining or regaining their health, as well as a guide through the medical world.
In my private life, I am a happy and fulfilled husband and father of two daughters. In my free time, I play tennis, run with my dog in the forest, ride a bicycle, read books, travel, or go on ornithological excursions with binoculars and a camera.

13th International Congress on Peritoneal Surface Malignancies, September 2023, Venice
The annual meeting of the Peritoneal Surface Oncology Group International (PSOGI) was held this time in Venice, on the island of Lido, from 4 to 6 September 2023. PSOGI is an international non-profit organisation whose main goal is to promote research and innovation, as well as education in the care of patients with peritoneal metastases arising from various cancers. It is a recognised scientific body that periodically publishes recommendations for the management of peritoneal metastases based on the latest clinical research findings.
I was encouraged to attend the congress by Prof. Wojciech Polkowski, Head of the Clinic of Oncological Surgery at the University Clinical Hospital No. 1 in Lublin, through whom I was assigned to prepare a review article on the current applications of a particular chemotherapy technique for ovarian cancer, namely Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC). The insights gained from this congress were subsequently incorporated into a publication released a few months later.
15th Warmian-Masurian Ultrasound Days,
October 2023, Olsztyn
Konferencja, organizowana pod patronatem Polskiego Towarzystwa Ultrasonograficznego odbyła się, jak co roku, w Olsztynie w dniach 20-22 października 2023 roku. Jest to wydarzenie, które skupia lekarzy z całej Polski, z różnych dziedzin, przede wszystkim radiologii, chirurgii, onkologii czy ginekologii, zajmujących się na co dzień diagnostyką ultrasonograficzną. Tym razem tematem spotkania była: „Diagnostyka dopplerowska naczyń – sprawdzone metody i najnowsze rozwiązania, trudne przypadki kliniczne”. Mnie, oczywiście najbardziej interesowały tematy związane z użyciem metod dopplerowskich w diagnostyce schorzeń narządu rodnego, piersi oraz ocenie węzłów chłonnych w przebiegu chorób nowotworowych.
4th Conference “Practice of the Gynaecological Oncologist”, December 2023, Janów Podlaski
The recurring conference organised by the Polish Society of Gynaecological Oncology, held in the beautiful setting of the 18th-century Bishops’ Castle in Janów Podlaski from 30 November to 2 December 2023, attracted, as every year, a large number of doctors from across Poland who regularly care for patients with gynaecological oncological conditions. In addition to a substantial amount of information on current guidelines and recommendations for the diagnosis and treatment of gynaecological cancers, the conference also presented the latest findings from international congresses, including the Society of Gynecologic Oncology (SGO), American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), and European Society of Gynaecological Oncology (ESGO).
National Specialist Examination in Gynaecological Oncology
29 October 2024 was an extremely important and highly stressful day for me, marking the culmination of nearly three years of specialisation in Gynaecological Oncology. On this day, I took the National Specialist Examination, held, as for all medical specialisations, at the Centre for Medical Examinations (CEM) in Łódź. My result, the second highest in the current session, exempted me from taking the additional, equally demanding oral examination.
